nomadic studio
July 8-November 20, 2010
Curated by the Stockyard Institute
The Stockyard Institute will repurpose the DePaul University Art Museum as a nomadic studio, transforming the space into a hybrid station for production, exhibition, development, performance, publication and education. Amidst four months of innovative programs and live performances, features include a convertible recording studio, Stockyard publication office (SITE), nomadic teacher center, global workstations, exhibition space, curriculum distributors, and a public library. The nomadic studio is a public exploration of ideas, celebrating the incidental and provisional spaces where people make work.
This exhibition is part of Studio Chicago, a yearlong collaborative project that focuses on the artist's studio.
